What is the Sports Premium?

The government are committed to improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. Funding has been allocated to primary schools and is ring-fenced, it can only be used to make additional and sustained improvements to the quality of PE and Sport in school. This includes physical education in its widest sense, including supporting mental health and wellbeing aa well as working with children to develop their understanding of healthy lifestyles.

This means we can use the premium to

• Develop or add to the PE and sport activities that school already offers
• Encourage all children to lead a healthy lifestyle and make better choices on how to lead an active lifestyle.
• Make improvements now that will benefit children joining the school in future years
