At Highgate Infant School our vision is to provide a high quality, balanced, enriching teaching and learning experience which is designed for the needs of individual learners. We embrace the fact that every child is different, and therefore the educational needs of every child are different.

At the heart of the work of every class is a continuous cycle of planning, teaching and assessing which takes account of a wide range of abilities, aptitudes and interests of children. The majority of children will learn and progress within these arrangements, those whose overall attainment falls significantly outside the expected range may have special educational needs. Our aim is to offer equal opportunities to all pupils in an environment where they are treated with integrity and respect regardless of any special need or disability and ensure that all children are included in every subject and area of the daily curriculum.
