Admissions

Any parents wishing to discuss the admission of their child are welcome to contact the Headteacher who will be pleased to talk through the admissions procedure and show you around the school.

The total number of places available in Reception, based on the admission number set by the Local Authority, is 30. We take applications from pupils across Kings Lynn. If more than 30 applications are made acceptance is dependant on the admissions policy as defined by the Local Authority. The published admission number for the school is 30 in each year group.

Norfolk County Council Children’s Services are the admissions authority for Highgate Infant School. Please see the Parents Guide to Admissions below.

If you would like any help or advice please contact the School Office who will be happy to discuss the process with you.

A statutory school place must be applied for either online or on a Common Application Form. Forms should be sent to your home address in the September of your child’s 3rd birthday. However, if you do not receive this information you should contact the Admissions Team at Norfolk County Council:

In the case of oversubscription we follow the Norfolk admissions policy.

You have the to appeal a decision if we have not offered your child a place at your preferred school.
